About
Victoria Lauren Isaac is a doctoral student in the Department of Sociology at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC). Her research explores processes of race-making within the Black American community, the co-constitution of race and religion, and the impact of religious institutions on broader neighborhood contexts. Victoria previously earned her Bachelor of Arts degree with majors in Dance and Sociology as well as her Master of Arts degree in Sociology, both from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. She is an alum of the Ronald E. McNair Postbaccalaureate Achievement Program.
