About

Kachi Ebiringah is a Clinical Psychology PhD student at University of Illinois at Chicago and works with Dr. Daniel Cervone. He graduated from UIC with a degree in psychology and has served as a post baccalaureate fellow in the UIC psychology department. He has also worked as a research assistant in the Addiction Research and Treatment lab at UIC with Dr. Magaret Wardle. In his research, Kachi is interested in studying implicit sociodemographic identity and ambiguous social situations, specifically focusing on race and gender in order to improve sociocultural relations between clinicians and their patients and to broadly understand how individuals' perceptions of identity shape the world around them. PIF has allowed Kachi the flexibility to focus on research as well as his role as a clinician in UIC’s Office of Applied Psychological Sciences. He earned his Master's Degree in 2023 and is looking forward to working at different externship sites in the Chicago land area to broaden his clinic training.  He also has a general interest in athletics, performance, and improving mental health outcomes in that population.
