Before starting her Ph.D. program, Jaramys earned a Master of Science in Cancer Chemical Biology from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, MI. She completed her undergraduate degrees in Biology with a Leadership minor and Health Services Administration from The University of Detroit Mercy. Jaramys discovered her passion for research during her undergraduate studies, where she ignited her desire to discover new knowledge and make meaningful contributions to the field of oncology. Prior to her doctoral studies, she worked as a professor of biology, where she taught Anatomy and Physiology, Comparative Anatomy, Applied Nutrition, and General Biology lectures and labs.
