UIC DFI Fellowship Winners (2024-25)

The Diversifying Higher Education Faculty in Illinois (DFI) Fellowship is sponsored by the Illinois Board of Higher Education (IBHE) and administered by the Graduate College at the University of Illinois Chicago (UIC). The DFI Fellowship aims to increase the number of minority full-time tenure track faculty and staff at Illinois’ two-year and four-year public and private colleges and universities. The DFI Fellowship offers multi-year fellowship financial support with a nine-month stipend (September through May). Stipends are $16,000/year at the master’s and $18,000 doctoral degree levels. In addition, DFI Fellowship recipients pursuing graduate degrees are provided with tuition and partial fee waivers.
