"I am the eldest daughter of five children to Mexican immigrants to the United States....We did jobs that nobody else wanted. Since the age of 8 I helped raise my siblings. I worked multiple jobs and at 16 became financially independent....When I look back on my 15 years of education since graduating high school, all I can think of is what my parents have said to us our entire lives: Sí se puede."
