UIC PhD Student Sai Siva Kare Wins People’s Choice Award at the Virtual 3MT Three Minute Thesis Competition!

The Graduate College would like to congratulate PhD student in Mechanical and Industrial Engineering, Sai Siva Kare, on winning the People’s Choice Award at the Virtual 3MT Three Minute Thesis Competition at the Midwestern Association of Graduate Schools Conference. Sai was part of a top 8 group of finalists from 46 university submissions all who placed as the first place winners on their campuses. The MAGS conference attendees selected Sai as their favorite of the finalists to win the People’s Choice Award.

Sai was selected as the first place winner from the UIC Graduate College Virtual 3MT Competition on Friday February 26, 2021.  This was the 4th year we were able to host the competition. The competition is run by myself Theresa Christenson-Caballero and assisted by my Graduate Assistant Jodi Aguilar.  Judges for the UIC competition included Graduate College colleagues Dr. Lunaire Ford,  Vincent Adiutori, Megan Gier and our prior 1st place  2019 winner PhD Student Vinoadharen Nair Das.  Below are the winners names and departments of the 2021 UIC Competition.
