About

Joshua Williams is a Ph.D candidate who works in the philosophy department at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC). He is interested in the history of philosophy and the theoretical philosophy of Immanuel Kant in particular. He also has expressed interests in the philosophy of religion and metaphysics.

Joshua recognizes the importance of research and teaching. Upon entering UIC, he received the distinguished Abraham Lincoln Fellowship (now known as the Access to Excellence Fellowship) which has allowed him to make strides towards his dissertation and progress through the program at a satisfactory pace. He also has shown a real passion for teaching: a formal external evaluation found his teaching competency to be excellent. Joshua is passionate about philosophy and wants nothing more than to explore abstract ideas and communicate them to others.
