Graduate College Workshop: Improv-e Your Way to a Better Research Presentation

Graduate Students:
  • Are you comfortable and confident presenting your research at conferences and job talks?
  • Can you get information across in a way that people outside of your field can clearly understand what you study?

The Graduate College is offering a brand new workshop to help you with your presentation and communication skills.

The Improv-e Your Way To a Better Research Presentation Workshop is a three hour long interactive session that uses improvisation exercises to help you become a more engaging presenter and marketable candidate for jobs, post docs, conferences, fellowships and more.

The workshop is free of charge but open only to currently registered, degree-seeking graduate students who are in programs within the Graduate College.   (Non-degree students and students in the MBA, MSW, MENG, MPH, DrPH, MD, DDS, PharmD and DPT programs are not eligible, unless you are concurrently in a Graduate College program.)  Doctoral students will be given preference.

The nature of the workshop requires that students stay for the full three hours, so please RSVP only if you can commit to the entire time.   You must register in order to attend.
