UIC Project Global Village 

The UIC Graduate College has begun a new outreach initiative called Project Global Village. The goal of this project is to engage UIC faculty, staff and students in humanitarian assistance to benefit the populations of developing nations and underprivileged areas where UIC researchers work.

Through Project Global Village, UIC partners with humanitarian service organizations, corporations and foundations to create a series of philanthropically supported service-learning initiatives. Project Global Village programs will encourage faculty and students who study, do field work, or research abroad, to contribute to the well being of the communities where they travel.
