Fellowship Information Sessions

Each summer and fall, the Fellowships Office of the UIC Graduate College provides regular information sessions for students applying to major national fellowships such as the U.S. Fulbright Student Program and the NSF Graduate Research Fellowship Program.

Most major fellowships, including those listed above, have October and November deadlines for funding to begin the following year. Fellowship agencies expect applicants to begin preparing their applications several months in advance of the deadline. Therefore, the Fellowships Office offers information sessions throughout the summer and early fall, then works directly with applicants up until the submission deadline.

You must register online to attend an information session. Each session has twenty seats available on a first-come, first-served basis.

PLEASE NOTE that both fellowships are for U.S. citizens only, permanent residents are eligible for the NSF/GRFP.

Session dates and times:

No further information sessions for either the U.S. Fulbright Program or the NSF/GRFP will be given in 2009.  Information sessions will recommence in April or May of 2010 for fellowship deadlines in October and November 2010.

U.S. Fulbright Student Program:

All sessions will be in Room 650 of University Hall at 601 South Morgan.  Online registration for each session will open one week prior to the sessions's date.

For U.S. citzens.  Permanent residents are not eligible.
