Commencement 2008Graduates of Summer 2007, Fall 2007, and potential graduates of Spring 2008 are invited to participate in the commencement ceremonies in May. Graduate College New-Student Orientation Fall 2008The Graduate College will host the first campus-wide orientation for new graduate students this fall on Wednesday, August 20, 2008. New students should register for the orientation using UIC Connect once you register for a class. This orientation, co-ordinated by the Graduate College, is in addition to the campus-wide TA orientation (for which new students may also register using UIC Connect), the international student orientation from the Office of International Services, and any program-specific orientations individual programs hold. The goal of this project is to engage UIC faculty, staff and students in humanitarian assistance to benefit the populations of developing nations and underprivileged areas where UIC researchers work.
