UIC Graduate College Wins 2012-13 ETS/CGS Award

The Graduate College has been awarded the 2012 ETS/CGS Award for Promoting Success in Graduate Education: From Admissions through Completion.  The award is competitive and is given to one graduate school/college annually. 


IALHEA Diversity Dialogue and Research Forum: Building a Community of Scholars

We are pleased to announce the IALHEA Diversity Dialogue and Research Forum. It will showcase the scholarly work of underrepresented students from Illinois. The goals are to increase faculty student research collaborations; to improve mentor relationships between faculty and students of color; to increase persistence among African American, Latino, and other underrepresented students; and to improve research skills among these students. Graduate Admissions Document Upload

Effective with applications for the Summer 2013 term, applicants and recommenders will be able to upload program-specific required documents (letters of recommendation, writing samples, personal statements, unofficial test scores, etc.).  In addition, the Graduate Admissions Office will require applicants to upload copies of their unofficial transcripts (or mark sheets).  Only applicants who have been admitted will be requested to submit official transcripts and related documents. Graduate College Emergency Grant Fund

The Graduate College has established an Emergency Grant to provide financial help to graduate students who may experience acute, unexpected problems that are of a short-term nature.  Further information, including an application form may be found here.
