Campus-Wide NEW International Teaching Assistant Orientation 2017

With the support of the UIC Graduate College and the Office of International Services (OIS), the International Teaching Assistant Program will be holding its annual Campus-Wide NEW ITA Orientation on Monday 21 August 2017.

This orientation is for all new and incoming international teaching assistants, who have been hired (or will be hired) at UIC as teaching assistants for the fall 2017 semester. This orientation is not mandatory, but is recommended for all new ITAs.

This orientation will focus on communication skills that international teaching assistants need to be successful at UIC.

10:05-10:35     Switch Presenters

10:35 –10:45   Re-Group in Illinois Room AB

10:45-11:15     Health and Wellness in Graduate School

11:15-11:30     Turn in Questions

11:30-12:00     Meeting the Challenges of Becoming a New TA at UIC

12:00-12:30     Get Lunch/Complete Orientation Evaluation
